Eric Budisetio Kurniawan to acquire 40.12% of ESIP

08 February 2022 14:12

JAKARTA – Eric Budisetio Kurniawan, President Director of PT Sinergi Inti Plastindo Tbk (ESIP), will become the owner of 40.12% of ESIP’s shares following the stock transfer of PT Tanindo Omega Pasifik (TOP) via a rights issue, scheduled from February 25 to March 10, 2022. Kurniawan himself disclosed the said decision in a statement letter published yesterday (7/2).

“Although after the rights issue, my portion in ESIP will be bigger than TOP’s stock ownership, TOP is still the controlling shareholder of the company,” Kurniawan reaffirmed.

Kurniawan was known to claim 11% of ESIP and was the ultimate beneficial owner (UBO) of the company as of January 5, 2022. His commitment as the receiving party of the share transfer from TOP was proven by providing IDR 27.73 billion in PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk (MAYA). Initially, TOP was the owner of 354.4 million shares or 55.34% of ESIP until it decided to transfer its portion in a rights issue of 259,893,333 shares.

ESIP is known to arrange a rights issue of 469,588,317 shares of IDR 89 each, aiming to score IDR 41.79 billion. The company will also issue 223,416,468 Series I warrants of IDR 120 each, eyeing IDR 26.80 billion of fresh funds. (LK/ZH)
