JAKARTA. The crude palm oil (CPO) price recovery rate, which is projected to be well-sustained until Q2 2022, inspires PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJT) to set the production and sales volume to increase 15% year-on-year (yoy) in 2022.

Lucas Kurniawan, President Director of Austindo Nusantara Jaya, revealed that the production and sales volume target would continuously grow for the next five years. It aims to secure a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8% per year.

“The prediction is backed with the [tree] planting age profile,” Kurniawan further added, as quoted by Kontan last Tuesday (8/2). He further specified that 16% of the trees will not enter the production phase until another year, 17% are young in age, which will continue to produce until its peak age, and another 38% are in their peak phase and will support the stability of oil manufacturing and revenue.

In 2021, ANJT scored a CPO production volume of 262,683 tons, 7.4% higher than the gain reported in 2020 of 244,485 tons. Furthermore, the high average selling price of CPO in 2021 enabled ANJT to collect a net profit of USD 26 million. (AM/ZH)
