Profit of Astra Group’s transportation provider doubled in 2021

JAKARTA. PT Serasi Auto Raya (SERA), a subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) engaged in the transportation and logistic business, scored a net profit of IDR 154.4 billion throughout 2021.

The net profit of SERA in 2021 reportedly doubled the gain recorded in the previous year, which was capped at IDR 76.82 billion. According to the recently disclosed financial report, the net profit in 2021 was supported by its revenue, which reached IDR 4.78 trillion.

Compared to the previous year, SERA;s revenue in 2021 climbed 7.08% year-on-year (yoy). SERA’s revenue in 2020 only amounted to IDR 4.46 trillion.

Based on the official release, ASII currently controls 99.99% of SERA’s shares, leaving the small 0.001% to PT Arya Kharisma.

SERA was initially limited to the transportation providing service through TRAC-Astra. However, the company has branched out to manage other business lines, including second vehicle sale and purchase platform, vehicle auction, and vehicle management.

As of December 31, 2021, SERA’s total assets moved up to IDR 6.68 trillion, while its equity was at IDR 2.77 trillion. (KR/ZH)
