JAKARTA. PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) just launched Jago Syariah application to improve its sharia banking service and expand its market share.

The launch of Jago Syariah took place almost a year after ARTO established the Jago mobile application, which now handles all conventional bank services of the company. Kharim Siregar, President Director of Bank Jago, claimed that the Jago Syariah application was designed with a quality that matches its conventional bank counterpart.

“We believe that this sharia digital banking application would offer positive impacts in boosting the sharia economic contribution to the national economy,” Siregar explained in an official release.

On the same occasion, Siregar added that the Jago Syariah app was intended to be utilised as a personal application that facilitates its users’ financial management. This application is also integrated with other digital finance ecosystems, such as Gojek, Gopay, and Bibit.

“With Jago Syariah, we are determined to realise our utmost aspiration in enhancing growth opportunities of the sharia segment through a digital finance solution that focuses on daily lives, or known as a life-centric finance solution,” Siregar elaborated further.

For the record, ARTO was previously known as PT Bank Artos Indonesia. Bank Artos then changed its brand to Bank Jago after gaining two new controlling shareholders in 2019. They are Wealth Track Technology and PT Metamorfosis Ekosistem Indonesia. (KR/ZH)
