JAKARTA – PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG) collected IDR 7.12 trillion in revenue in 2021, shifting 6.4% higher than the number reported in 2020 of IDR 6.69 trillion. Despite the low revenue growth rate, the company succeeded in scoring profit growth of 55%, soaring from IDR 478.71 billion to IDR 739.64 billion.

In a press release quoted Wednesday (23/2), Andrian Oetomo, President Director of Dharma Satya Nusantara, said that the increased sales were supported by wood products and crude pam oil (CPO) price surge amidst the low number of CPO sales volume. “The sales of wood products grow 34% to IDR 1.3 trillion, maintained by the increased sales volume and price in the United States, Japan, and Canada,” he further explained.

The palm segment generated IDR 5.8 trillion in revenue, climbing 2% from last year. It was driven by the CPO price surge of 13% to IDR 9.2 million per ton, countering the declined sales volume of 15% to 545 thousand tons. “Flood in the company’s plantation in Kalimantan in Q2 and Q4 2021 disrupted the harvest, causing the extraction rate to decline and higher free fatty acid rate,” Oetomo elaborated further.

In terms of the market, sales in domestic regions contributed IDR 5.8 trillion, increasing from IDR 5.73 trillion, while the export market generated IDR 1.29 trillion in sales. It grew from IDR 962.80 trillion. (LK/ZH)
