BCA eyes sustainable financing growth rate of 7%

JAKARTA. PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) sets the target of sustainable financing growth to 7% in 2022. In comparison, the sustainable financing growth of BBCA last year reached 20.9%, arriving at IDR 154.4 trillion.

“We do not have an ambitious target [for the sustainable financing growth]; it is only 7%,” Vera Eve Lim, Financial Director of BBCA, announced during the virtual event of Bisnis Indonesia Green Economy Outlook 2022 yesterday (22/2). The said sustainable credit growth would gain support from sufficient liquidity and the hope of economic recovery, as she continued.

Jahja Setiaadmadja, President Director of BBCA, separately revealed that last year, his company distributed IDR 154.5 trillion of sustainable financing. Then, the realisation far surpassed the initial growth target of 5.5%, ending up scoring 20.9%. The said amount contributed 24.8% to the total credit portfolio of BCA.

Meanwhile, the sustainable sectors financially aided by BCA include small and medium enterprises, biological natural resources and sustainable land management, environmentally friendly transportation, renewable energy resources, eco-efficient products, water and wastewater management, and energy efficiency.
