MNC Kapital Indonesia to challenge the AI-based P2P lending business

JAKARTA – PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP) readies its artificial intelligence (AI) based peer-to-peer (P2P) lending unit, targeted to be completed by the end of this year. The new business line in the financial technology (fintech) field will enhance the company’s portfolio of financial products this year.

Wiota Mailoa, President Director of MNC Kapital Indonesia, said that the new business line establishment is expected to bring in an extensive contribution to the company and offer alternative products and services to the users. “We are currently developing the AI-based digital lending program that will be complete by the end of this year, Mailoa announced in the information disclosure quoted Thursday (24/2).

According to Mailoa, the expansion of new business lines this year also include the establishment of a securities crowd-funding, venture capital, and cryptocurrency. These several fresh products are currently awaiting authorisation from the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

BCAP’s well-known financial products include the motion wallet, motion points, motion transfer, flash mobile, motion trading, and motion banking.

As of September 2021, the company scored IDR 1.92 trillion in revenue, 8.7% higher than in 2020 of IDR 1.76 trillion. It comprised the digital income of IDR 68.92 billion and non-digital income of IDR 1.85 trillion. (LK/ZH)
