Pembangunan Jaya Ancol suffered another loss of IDR 275.02 billion in 2021

JAKARTA. PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk (PJAA), a business unit owned by the DKI Jakarta provincial government, once again faced a loss of IDR 275.02 billion in 2021.

This loss stemmed from the PJAA’s weakened revenue compared to the same period last year. The company reportedly only managed to gain IDR 389.34 billion in 2021. It was 5.6% year-on-year (yoy) lower than the 2020 revenue of IDR 414.19 billion.

The amusement park still contributed the most to the revenue in 2021, generating IDR 217.74 billion, or 55.6% of the total revenue. Then, the hotel and restaurant business brought in IDR 39.51 billion, while other business lines chipped in IDR 134.17 billion.

For the record, PJAA had fortunately significantly cut down its cost of revenue and direct expense. It only reached IDR 289.45 billion in 2021, depleting 20.5% yoy from the expenses in 2020 of IDR 364.17 billion.

As of December 31, 2021, PJAA’s total assets were recorded at IDR 4.42 trillion. Meanwhile, its total equity amounted to IDR 1.49 trillion. (KR/ZH)
