Salim Group’s power plant company issues IDR 750 billion bonds

JAKARTA. PT Tamaris Hidro, a power plant company under Salim Group, issued Bonds of Tamaris Hidro I Year 2022 worth IDR 750 billion, equipped with the highest interest rate of 8.10% per year.

The said bonds have been registered to the collective deposits of the Indonesia Central Securities Depository (lit. Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia/KSEI) for the purpose of a public offering. The public offering period will last from February 24 to March 2, 2022, followed by the electronic distribution of the bonds on March 8, 2022, before the listing on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on March 9, 2022.

Tamaris Hidro offers the bonds in three series. Series A will be offered for IDR 200 billion with a 5.5% annual interest rate and a three-year tenor. Series B will be worth IDR 250 billion, equipped with an annual fixed interest rate of 7% and a tenor of five years. Lastly, Series C will be issued with a face value of IDR 300 billion, an annual interest rate of 8.1%, and a seven-year tenor.

Tamaris Hidro appoints three security companies as the underwriters in this bond issuance. They are PT BCA Sekuritas, PT Binaartha Sekuritas, and PT Indo Premier Sekuritas.

Based on idnfinancials.com data, Salim Group established Tamaris Hidro in 2011 to focus on the renewable energy sector. In early 2019, Tamaris Hidro secured a syndicated loan facility of IDR 3.96 trillion and USD 140.6 billion from PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BBNI).

The said syndicated facility is then utilised to fund the Hydropower Plant and Mini-Hydropower Plant projects of Tamaris Hidro. The company now manages over ten running and under-construction power plants. (KR/ZH)
