JAKARTA – PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SMCB), a cement manufacturer, has reassigned the Mining Business License of Production Operation (lit. Izin Usaha Pertambangan Operasi Produksi/IUP-OP) for limestones and siltstones of PT Aroma Cipta Anugrahtama (ACA) to PT Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA). The effective period of the said license extends to September 2, 2022.

Andika Lukmana, Corporate Secretary of Solusi Bangun Indonesia, said that Government Regulation No. 96/2021 concerning the Mineral Mining Business Activities stated the terms and conditions for the reassignment of a mining business license. “The company saw a chance to simplify the synergy process through the license reassignment in the Law regarding the New Mineral and Coals and Government Regulation No.96/2021. The reassignment of mining permit from ACA to SBA heeded the existing rules,” he further explained in the information disclosure in response to ACA’s mining permit entering the list of 180 revoked mining business licenses by the government quoted Tuesday (1/3).

Currently, SBA extends the said IUP, which covers the limestone and siltstone mining location in Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh. The annulment of the license is said not to affect any operational or financial performances of the company.

As of December 2021, ACA contributed 0.53% of SMCB’s revenue of IDR 11.21 trillion. SMCB’s current year’s gross and net profit reportedly reached IDR 2.85 trillion and IDR 720.03 billion, respectively. (LK/ZH)
