JAKARTA. PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA), one of the biggest integrated petrochemical companies in Indonesia, recently introduced Asrene C6 Metallocene LLDPE for flexible packaging application.
According to the official statement of Supryanto, General manager of Polymer Technical Service and Product Development of TPIA, the said product could be a solution to strengthen packaging products. The said product is applicable in film formulation with a higher seal strength and tenacity, such as an application in standing pouch and plastic wrap production.
“Additionally, the said resin is one of Chandra Asri’s strategies to diversify its manufactured LLPDE products so that it could meet the consumers’ demands,” Supriyanto further explained in the official release.
Supriyanto confirmed that the launch of C6 Metallocene LLDPE took place in response to the high market demands. Meanwhile, the demands for this specific product were only met by imported products.
The said condition subsequently urged TPIA to initiate its own resin C6 Metallocene LLDPE manufacture. Currently, the production capacity of this project reached 50 kilograms per year. (KR/ZH)
