JAKARTA. PT PP Presisi Tbk (PPRE) has secured new contracts worth IDR 333.5 billion at the beginning of this year. It was 54% year-on-year (yoy) higher than IDR 153.5 billion recorded in the same period last year.

Its new contracts comprised mining contracts and constructions of several buildings. “With these added contracts, we are optimistic about obtaining new contracts in the mining sector that will exceed the predetermined target in 2021,” Rully Noviandar, President Director of PPRE, claimed.

For the record, PPRE has set the target for new contract procurement growth of 10% in 2022. Noviandar said that the goal would be supported by focusing on gaining new contracts from the mining and integrated infrastructure sectors offered by insiders or outside parties of the group.

Additionally, PPRE also shifted its focus from gaining new contracts in the civil work to mining services. Specifically, new contracts from mining services have been raised to 53%, while civil work contracts hit 41%.

In order to secure new contracts, PPRE will seek the potential of developing mining processes from upstream downwards, including establishing mining infrastructures and smelting facilities. (KR/ZH)
