07 March 2022 06:29

JAKARTA – PT Bank QNB Indonesia Tbk (BKSW) channelled credits of IDR 9.43 trillion throughout 2021, depleting from the 2020 credit distribution of IDR 11.92 trillion. On the other hand, it managed to collect third-party funds of IDR 12.01 trillion, higher than IDR 11.95 trillion scored at the end of 2020.

In the Financial Report of 2021 quoted this Monday (7/3), Geoffry Nugraha, the Acting President Director of Bank QNB Indonesia, revealed that its interest income reached IDR 871.12 billion. It decreased from IDR 1.23 trillion in 2020. However, the net interest income increased from IDR 262.11 billion to IDR 337.47 billion, thanks to the efficiency of interest expenses.

The interest income originated from distributed credits of IDR 727.62 billion, several securities of IDR 4.23 billion, placements in Bank Indonesia (BI) and other banks of IDR 15.43 billion, and the securities bought with a guarantee of reselling of IDR 43.82 billion. In 2020, the income from the channelled loans reached IDR 999.16 billion, followed by securities of IDR 121.72 billion, and the ones purchased with agreements to reselling of IDR 82.72 billion.

However, the current year’s loss worsened to IDR 1.57 trillion from IDR 422.16 billion recorded in 2020. This shift resulted from the increased provision for impairment losses on financial assets, which proliferated from IDR 172.52 billion to IDR 1.53 trillion. As a consequence, the total operational expenses swelled from IDR 663.98 billion to IDR 2.03 trillion. (LK/ZH)
