Bukit Asam’s revenue soared 68.9% in 2021

JAKARTA. PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) recorded revenue of IDR 29.26 trillion in 2021, increasing 68.9% year-on-year (yoy), or compared to the 2020 gains.

Most of the revenue of PTBA came from coals sales, which reached IDR 2.87 trillion or 98.7% of the total revenue. The remaining amount of IDR 387.73 billion originated from other business lines.

According to the recently released financial report, PTBA’s revenue in 2021 that was brought in by coals sales to third parties increased 77% yoy from IDR 9.04 trillion in 2020. Meanwhile, sales to related parties also jumped 60% yoy from IDR 8.03 trillion.

This financial gain of PTBA in 2021 positively affected its net profit, which reportedly reached IDR 7.91 trillion. The said amount is 2.3 times higher than the net profit in 2020 of only IDR 2.39 trillion.

As of December 31, 2021, PTBA’s total assets amounted to IDR 36.12 trillion, while its equity totalled IDR 24.25 trillion.

For the record, 65.93% of PTBA’s shares are under the control of the Indonesian government through PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero). Then, another 33.78% is divided among public investors, a small 0.29% is a part of the treasury stock, while the remaining portion belongs to several directors of the company. (KR/ZH)
