Austindo triumphed with 1,695% profit growth in 2021

JAKARTA – The net profit of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJT) went through the roof in 2021, proliferating 1,695% to USD 39.7 million from USD 2.2 million reported in 2020. This massive gain resulted from increases in sales volume and average selling prices of crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernels (PK).

Naga Waskita, Director of Austindo Nusantara, claimed that the revenue reached USD 226.8 million or IDR 3.81 trillion by the end of last year, climbing 62.6% from USD 164.1 million or IDR 2.39 trillion in 2020. Its gross profit also grew 33.9% to IDR 1.44 trillion from the initial IDR 584.29 billion in 2020. “The EBITDA skyrocketed from USD 34.2 million to USD 87.2 million, while its margin climbed 32.7% in 2021,” he said in the press release quoted Friday (18/3).

In 2021, CPO production reached 262,683 tons, shifting 7.4% from 244,485 tons. The plantation in West Papua generated the most amongst the CPO production from Belitung Island, Sumatera I and II, and West Kalimantan. The kernel production also increased 4.6% from 49,286 tons to 51,531 tons, as did the palm kernel oil production by 50.6% from 717 tons to 1,080 tons. (LK/ZH)
