Third-party funds of Bank Jatim soared as credit distribution struggled

JAKARTA – PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (BJTM) or Bank Jatim, experienced a significant surge in its third-party funds collection in 2021 compared to in 2020. In contrast, its credit channelling rate slowed down. President Director of BPD Jawa Timur, Busrul Iman, announced this achievement in the 2021 Financial Report published earlier today (18/3).

The users’ savings in 2021 reportedly reached IDR 83.20 trillion, IDR 14.73 trillion higher than 2020 of IDR 68.46 trillion. The conventional third-party funds amounted to IDR 81.09 trillion, which comprised saving accounts of IDR 24.22 trillion, current accounts of IDR 25.85 trillion, and time deposits of IDR 31.07 trillion. In addition, sharia funds clocked up to IDR 1.98 trillion.

The distributed credits and sharia financing equalled IDR 40.91 trillion, IDR 899 billion higher than IDR 40.02 trillion in 2020. The distributed credits mostly went to the consumption credit sector, followed by the working capital credit and investment credits. Non-performing loans were recorded at IDR 316.03 billion, shifting from IDR 294.11 billion.

The sharia and interest income amounted to IDR 6.65 trillion, higher than IDR 6.08 trillion in 2020. Furthermore, other operating income contributed IDR 806.35 billion, almost doubling from IDR 417.78 billion, while the current year’s profit climbed from IDR 1.48 trillion to IDR 1.52 trillion.
