Blue Bird profit soared 105.3% yoy

JAKARTA. PT Blue Bird Tbk (BIRD) ended 2021 with profit growth as high as 105.3%, reaching IDR 8.7 billion. This record is achievable due to the responsive business strategy implemented to welcome the New Normal era.

Sigit Djokosoetono, President Director of Blue Bird, revealed that in 2021, BIRD’s revenue clocked up to IDR 2.2 trillion, 85% higher year-on-year. Furthermore, its gross profit proliferated 48% to IDR 419 billion. Its EBITDA also increased 42.3% to IDR 454.5 billion.

In an official release yesterday (29/3), Djokosoetono mentioned that the said accomplishments in 2021 are said to be the result of BIRD’s expenditure management, allowing Bluebird to establish a more efficient operational system without sacrificing the quality of its service to the customers. Bluebird had also arranged various initiatives in the product and service innovation and development, as well as forming stronger collaborations with different kinds of industry partners.

The strategy to control its expenditures had generated net cash of IDR 945 billion in 2021, climbing 18.4% from IDR 799 billion reported by the end of 2020. (AM/ZH)
