SHEconomy has great potential in Indonesia, Social Bella introduces a new business model in the industry

JAKARTA - In just seven years since it was first launched in March 2015, Social Bella, Indonesia's leading beauty-tech company, has surpassed its mission to create a solid beauty and self-care ecosystem. The company, known as the omnichannel retailer Sociolla, now comes with new ambitions and business models to expand its reach beyond the beauty and personal care market and focus on maximizing the potential of SHEconomy1 in Indonesia.

Co-Founder & President of Social Bella, Christopher Madiam explained, "In commemorating the anniversary of Social Bella in March, we would like to publicly introduce our new business model, namely SHEcosystem, which will help us build and connect multiple ecosystems from different industries into a one integrated ecosystem. SHEcosystem will create opportunities for companies to carry out multi-dimensional expansion. With this expansion, we can serve all of the SHEconomy in Indonesia which is estimated to reach 59 billion USD with a projected CAGR of 9.4%.

Since its inception, Social Bella has contributed to changing the landscape of the beauty industry. The company's strong commitment to always doing the right thing starts with a commitment to only provide 100% BPOM certified products at Sociolla, which sets it apart from other businesses or retailers. Now, Social Bella has come a long way, transforming into a complete ecosystem with the addition of four (4) other business pillars, namely the SoCo beauty Super App, beauty and lifestyle media by presenting end-to-end O2O marketing services, Beauty Journal, Brand Development with services distributor of beauty and personal care products from upstream to downstream, as well as Lilla, the most complete ecosystem for mothers and children which has just been launched to help mothers.

In 2021, Social Bella will continue its next milestone by expanding its omnichannel outlets whose growth has reached 10 times since the first store opened in 2019. Social Bella also now has 24 multifunctional warehouses spread across Indonesia so that it can serve more than 55,000 sales points for Brand Development business. In line with aggressive business expansion in the midst of economic turmoil during the pandemic, the company continues to actively develop a team of nearly 2,000 employees spread across Indonesia, Vietnam and India.
