JAKARTA – The revenue of PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk (MIDI), the managing company of Alfa Midi retail network, grew IDR 925 billion to IDR 13.58 trillion in 2021 from IDR 12.65 trillion reported in 2020. This achievement also fueled the profit growth, shifting IDR 75 billion from its 2020 realisation.
In the 2021 Financial Report quoted Thursday (31/3), Rullyanto, President Director of Alfa Midi, mentioned that the food products contributed IDR 7.86 trillion to the revenue, higher than IDR 7.24 trillion in 2020. Then, non-food products sales also increased from IDR 3.74 trillion to IDR 3.89 trillion.
Geographically, sales in Jabodetabek reached IDR 6.18 trillion, followed by outside Java of IDR 5.54 trillion and within Java Island of IDR 1.85 trillion. For the comparison, in 2020, sales in Jabodetabek clocked up to IDR 6.42 trillion, followed by outside Java sales of IDR 4.51 trillion, and in Java of IDR 1.71 trillion.
MIDI’s gross profit showed a positive trend, rising from IDR 3.15 trillion to IDR 3.42 trillion, thanks to the efficiency strategies applied on the cost of revene. Meanwhile, its operating profit arrived at IDR 488.13 billion, climbing from IDR 456.58 trillion. Furthermore, its profit before final and income taxes also jumped from IDR 268.01 billion to IDR 333.25 trillion, as a result of the decreased financial expenses from IDR 190.09 billion to IDR 156.47 billion. Lastly, its current year’s profit soared from IDR 200.27 billion in 2020 to IDR 275.22 billion by the end of 2021. (LK/ZH)
