JAKARTA. PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) alongside PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) (KAI) initiate the testing of the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi route of the automated, driverless Light Rail Transit (LRT).

The test includes applying level 3 of the Grade of Automation (GoA) on a train with six carriages. The test begins in Harjamukti, Cibubur, and heads to Taman Mini Station, East Jakarta.

The automatic LRT testing was joined by Luhut Binsar Panjaitan (Coordinating Minister of Maritime and Investment Affairs), Budi Karya Sumadi (Minister of Transportation), and other state officials. “It is a result of tremendous effort in approximately the last four years. We finally come to see it,” Panjaitan claimed.

For the record, the Integrated LRT in Jabodebek is one of the National Strategic Projects in which ADHI participates. The project was directly carried out by the company along with KAI’s subsidiary, PT Industri Kereta Api Indonesia (INKA).

As of March 25, 2022, the Jabodebek LRT has been 90.26% compeleted. Specifically, Cawang-Cibubur route has made 94.66% progress, followed by Cawang-Dukuh Atas route of 89.66%, and LRT Substation of 72.5%. (KR/ZH)
