Nusantara Konstruksi Enjiniring posted profit of IDR 7.84 billion

JAKARTA – PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (DGIK) gained a net profit of IDR 7.84 billion in 2021, turning the tide from an IDR 14.98 billion loss in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The said achievement is the highest within the last four years, when DGIK’s former director was involved in the Hambalang project corruption case.

Budi Susilo, President Director of Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring, believed that the net profit surge resulted from operational efficiency and effectiveness policies implemented by the company. “The revenue realisation in 2021 went beyond the target, yet it was still below the revenue realisation recorded in 2020,” he admitted in the press release quoted today (6/4).

According to Susilo, total contract expenses dropped 26.9% year-on-year (yoy), as did its operating expenses by 35.7%. DGIK ended 2021 with IDR 366.45 billion of revenue, going above the initial target range of IDR 345-350 billion. The revenue in 2021 was, in fact, 23% lower than the 2020 revenue of IDR 478.93 billion.

Susilo claimed that the company still feels the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit the construction sector widely last year. However, his company is still confident in being able to improve the performance through consistent implementation of the aforementioned efficiency and effectiveness strategies. (LK/ZH)
