JOMBANG - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono accompanied by Member of Commission V DPR RI Sadarestuwati and Jombang Regent Mundjidah Wahab inaugurated the Ploso Bridge which stretches over the Brantas River in Jombang Regency, East Java Province, Friday (8/4/2022).
Minister Basuki said that with the inauguration of the operation of the Ploso Bridge, it would facilitate the 2022 Eid homecoming flow in the Jombang area, so that the Central Cross and the North East Java Cross could be well connected.
"The new Ploso Bridge replaces the old Ploso Bridge which is next to it, which always vibrates, especially when there is a traffic jam. Thank God we can finish it in one year, starting in September 2020 and ending in December 2021," said Minister Basuki.
The Ploso Bridge was built with an implementation period of 463 calendar days from the contract date of September 25, 2020 and was completed at the end of December 2021. The construction costs were sourced from the State Budget for the Ministry of PUPR through the National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) for East Java and Bali worth Rp. 137.7 billion with PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk as contractor.
