JAKARTA – PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia TBk (JPFA), an animal feed manufacturer, allocates IDR 1.9 trillion for its capital expenditure (CapEx) this year. It is deemed constant compared to last year. Antonius Harwanto, Director of JPDA, revealed this news in the public expose quoted Tuesday (12/4).

“The budget is approximately IDR 1.9 trillion, close to IDR 2 trillion. the CapEx is mostly intended to support poultry and aquaculture operational infrastructures, also other businesses in the production goods,” Harwanto continued.

According to Harwanto, the CapEx in the poultry segment will cover the periodical maintenance of machineries, as well as the establishment of a slaughter house, silo, corn dryer, and others. “Most of the company’s CapEx from time to time is, in fact, directed to the said segment,” he mentioned.

Furthermore, Harwanto revealed that JPFA still attempts to maintain operational security amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. It is because at the early period of the pandemic, the company once faced disruptions in its operational activities, although it was handled in no time.

“The pandemic is still looming. However, the company is no longer worried as the government has shown great response and managed to protect the people. It is a positive event in 2022,” Harwanto said. (LK/ZH)
