JAKARTA – PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG) collected a profit of IDR 208.59 billion in Q1 2022, shifting 110% higher from the same period in 2021 of IDR 99.27 billion. The increased profit resulted from the massive revenue growth following the CPO price surge of 22% at the beginning of the year.

Paulina Suryanti, Corporate Secretary of Dharma Satya Nusantara, revealed that the company’s sales reached IDR 1.64 trillion, climbing slightly from the same period last year of IDR 1.63 trillion. “The contribution of palm sales hit 75% or IDR 1.24 trillion, and the wood products sales clocked up to IDR 405 billion,” she explained in a press release quoted Thursday (28/4).

According to Suryanti, the contribution of palm sales actually slid down from Q1 2021, which reached 83%. It is caused by the decrease in CPO sales volume of 28% to 97 thousand tons. However, CPO price surge to IDR 10.6 million per ton countered the effect, supporting the company’s revenue in return.

Meanwhile, the contribution of wood products sales to total revenue of the company increased from 17% in Q1 2021 to 25% in Q2 2022. It is triggered by increases in the wood panels production volume of 10% and engineered floorings production of 30%. Their selling prices also jumped 25% and 14%, respectively. (LK/ZH)
