Teladan Prima Agro to build production and power plants

06 May 2022 14:16

JAKARTA – PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk (TLDN) will establish a kernel crushing plant (KCP) and a biogas power plant with a capacity of 1.2 megawatts (MW). The money used to fund these projects will be taken out of the proceeds of the initial public offering last April 2022.

In the short prospectus quoted Friday (6/5), TLDN will expand its business through two of its subsidiaries, PT Telen Prima Sawit (TPS) and PT Daya Lestari (DL). The KCP will be built on East Kutai, handling 100 tons of palm kernels daily. Then, the biogas power plant is set to potentially process the produced gas of 5.3 million Nm3 per year.

In the IPO, TLDN is said to secure IDR 1.32 trillion of fresh funds, allocating 71% of them to acquire a palm manufacturing company and another 29%, equivalent to IDR 382.80 billion, to enhance the capital of TPS and DL. Both subsidiaries will then receive IDR 198 billion and IDR 184.80 billion, respectively. (LK/ZH)
