JAKARTA – The interest revenue of PT Bank Bisnis Internasional Tbk (BBSI) soared 42.18% to IDR 32.49 billion in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period last year of IDR 22.85 billion. This gain, combined with efficiency in non-operational expenses, managed to drive the current year’s profit upward.

In the Financial Report Q1 2022 published on Monday (9/5), Laniwati Tjandra, President Director of Bank Bisnis Internasional, mentioned that the highest revenue came from credit interests, amounting to IDR 24.98 billion, albeit slightly declining from IDR 25.57 billion in Q1 2021. Then, the remaining contributor of the revenue is the interest of placements in Bank Indonesia (BI) and other banks.

The distributed credits in Q1 2022, clocking up to IDR 888.60 billion, constituted credits to related parties of IDR 127.11 billion and third party credits of IDR 761.53 billion. The users’ savings also reportedly reached IDR 1.25 trillion, comprising deposits of IDR 933.01 billion, saving accounts of IDR 18.83 billion, and time deposits of IDR 300.81 billion.

The operating profit reportedly arrived at IDR 26.911 billion, proliferating from IDR 16.22 billion, while its current year’s profit clocked up to IDR 20.98 billion, massively multiplying from IDR 6.75 billion. These were caused by significant cut of non-operational expenses, shrinking from IDR 25.08 billion to IDR 7.7 billion. (LK/ZH)
