BANK eyes IDR 3.99 trillion via a rights issue

JAKARTA – PT Bank Aladin Syariah Tbk (BANK) seeks extra capital of IDR 3.99 trillion by putting 1,999,933,723 shares out in a rights issue. This corporate action had been decided upon during the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting last year, and is scheduled to take place from May 23 to June 7, 2022.

In the short prospectus quoted on Tuesday (10/5), PT Aladin Global Ventures (AGV), the owner of 60.21% of BANK, will not exercise its rights according to its allotted portion in the said corporate action. The entire new shares will be offered to public investors instead. Should there still be unclaimed shares, those will not be taken out of the portfolio.

Currently, BANK’s authorised capital clocked up to IDR 5 trillion, while its issued and paid-up capital reached IDR 1.32 trillion. AGV holds 60.21% of them, while the public controls the remaining 39.79%. Its portfolio contains IDR 3.63 trillion worth of shares. After this rights issue, its issued and paid-up capital will rise to IDR 1.39 trillion, while AGV’s portion decreases to 57.36%, and the public’s is elevated to 42.64%. (LK/ZH)
