Allo Bank to launch e-money

JAKARTA – PT Allo Bank Tbk (BBHI) will develop a server-based e-money after receiving the green light from Bank Indonesia (BI) last week (13/5). With this authorisation, the company now may reach wider consumers and potential users via digital technology.

“With this license, the company can also establish iOs and Android-based Allo Apps, along with Quick Response Indonesian Standards – Merchant Presented Mode (QRIS-MPM) as the issuer with saving fund resources,” the management announced in the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (18/5).

According to the management, the said authorisation is mentioned in the Letter No.24/133/DKSP/Srt/B issued by the Head of Payment System Policy Department of Bank Indonesia.

Allo Bank, now under CT Corp, also secures a cooperation contract with PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA), its affiliate, PT Rintis Sejahtera, PT Artajasa Pembayaran Elektronis, PT Ayopop Teknologi Indonesia, PT Advance Intelligence Indonesia, and PT Asli Rancangan Indonesia. (LK/ZH)
