JAKARTA – PT Protech Mitra Perkasa Tbk (OASA) seeks additional capital in order to fund its business expansion by issuing 6 billion shares out of its portfolio in a rights issue. This corporate action will be discussed and decided further in the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting on June 27, 2022.
In the information disclosure quoted Friday (20/5), Chandra Devikemalawaty, Corporate Secretary of Protech Mitra Perkasa, claimed that all proceeds from this rights issue will be allocated to business expansion, operational needs support, and assets purchase in order to support the operational activities,” he added.
Regarding the expansion plan, the management is currently examining the plan to acquire particular targeted company that will offer additional values to the company. The rights issue plan will be carried out within 12 months after the upcoming shareholders meeting.
Until April 2022, OASA’s shares reportedly amount to 358,600,000 units, of which Gafur Sulistyo Umar claims 75% and the public 25%. (LK/ZH)
