Ministry of PUPR completes construction of three suspension bridges in Central Java

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the construction of three suspension bridges in Central Java Province.

The three suspension bridges that have been completed are the Sidareja Suspension Bridge and the Tanalum Suspension Bridge in Purbalingga Regency and the Nagasari-Suwidak Suspension Bridge in Banjarnegara Regency.

The Sidareja Suspension Bridge located in Sidareja Village and the Tanalum Suspension Bridge located in Tanalum Village have the same length and width of the bridge, which is 96 meters long and 1.8 meters wide.

Meanwhile, the total length of the Nagasari-Suwidak Suspension Bridge located in Nagasari-Suwidak Village is about 60 meters with a bridge width of 1.8 meters. Construction of the three suspension bridges will begin in 2021 and be completed in 2022.

With the three suspension bridges, it is expected to increase inter-regional connectivity and provide alternatives for local residents to increase economic productivity. (LM)
