JAKARTA. PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG), a telecommunication tower provider, sets a target to acquire 3,500 new tenants organically in 2022. With these add-ins, the company projects revenue growth of 8%-9%.

Helmy Yusman Santoso, Financial Director of Tower Bersama Infrastructure, said that these new tenants would comprise 1,200 units of new towers and 2,300 units of colocations. “By adding these 3,500 tenants, the company may gain extra 8%-9% revenue,” Santoso mentioned in a virtual public expose yesterday (23/5). As of present, TBIG manages 39,088 tenants, last recorded in 2021.

Herman Setya Budi, President Director of Tower Bersama Infrastructure, said that his company saw a favourable prospect amidst the consolidation of cellular operators. From the business perspective, this consolidation encourages those operators to focus more on development. Thus, the business competition will be even healthier.

Budi is optimistic that TBIG will remain as the top choice of these cellular operators in placing their network devices as TBIG owns a significant amount of towers. It reaches 20,578 telecommunication sites as of December 2021, being dubbed as the biggest telecommunication provider in Indonesia. “Our construction is established diligently while paying attention to several criteria so that we may become the solution for our customers. This is reflected through our colocation ratio that reached 1.9 in 2021,” he explained.

This year, TBIG has set the capital expenditure allocation to IDR 2-3 trillion, most of which will be spent on building new towers based on operators’ demands, colocation centres, and fibre optic network. (AM/ZH)
