JAKARTA. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), an energy company owned by the Indonesian government, plans to distribute a cash dividend of US$205.96 million from net profit for the 2021 financial year.
In accordance with the results of the PGAS Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS), the cash dividend value was converted to the Bank Indonesia middle rate on 27 May 2022, which was IDR14,644.53. With this reference, the dividend value of PGAS is equivalent to IDR 3.02 trillion.
The amount of dividends to be distributed by PGAS is equivalent to 67.79% of net profit for the 2021 financial year. According to idnfinancials.com data, PGAS posted a net profit of US$303.82 million. After being distributed as dividends, the remainder of the company's net profit will be recorded as retained earnings.
Dividends will be distributed to shareholders, whose names are recorded in the Register of Shareholders (DPS) of PGAS on June 9, 2022. Each holder of 1 share of PGAS will receive a dividend of IDR124.42. Furthermore, dividend payments will be made on June 29, 2022.
Currently, the Government of Indonesia, through PT Pertamina (Persero), controls 56.97% of PGAS shares. Then public investors are listed as owning 43.03% shares. (KR/LM)
