JAKARTA. PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA), an energy provider company under PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), recorded revenue of IDR 2.4 trillion in the first quarter of 2022.

ELSA’s revenue in Q1 2022 shifted 34% year-on-year (yoy) higher than the gain reported in the same period last year. The energy distribution and logistic service generated 54% of ELSA’s total revenue. Then, the oil and gas upstream business segment contributed another 38%, followed by the supplementary services of 8%.

ELSA’s revenue in Q1 2022 further ignited the growth of its gross profit, moving 67% yoy to IDR 200 billion. Meanwhile, its net profit clocked up to IDR 75 billion.

Asmal Salam, Corporate Secretary of ELSA, claimed that the progress in Q1 2022 resulted from the recovered mobility of the communities, driving the energy distribution and logistic service through the increase of public’s purchase power of refined fuel oil (BBM). Furthermore, as suggested before, the oil and gas upstream segment and the energy distribution line also assisted the rapid growth of the company’s performance.

“Throughout 2022, Elnusa focuses on accelerating the operational productivity increase in the oil and gas upstream segment, particularly on ongoing projects since 2021,” Salam mentioned in the official announcement.

ELSA is optimistic about achieving the targets of the Subholding Upstream Pertamina Group by the end of 2022. Some of those goals include the oil production of 1 million barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and the natural gas production of 12 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). (KR/ZH)
