JAKARTA – PT Selamat Sempurna Tbk (SMSM) will integrate its subsidiary, PT Selamat Sempurna Perkasa (SSP), to itself as a way to maintain efficiency and effectiveness of future operations. Ang Andi Pribadi, Financial Director of Selamat Sempurna, announced the decision in the information disclosure quoted today (6/6).
“The merge between SMSM and SSP will integrate the general production process, thus enhancing supply synergy, and consolidate financial aspects, including accounting process, taxation, and capital structure management to reinforce both operation and finance of the company,” Pribadi explained.
It is mentioned that this consolidation will create a more vertically integrated company while still offering varied products. Therefore, the production capacity and assets will be more solid to face upcoming competitions with other business players.
Until now, the separation of SSP and SMSM has led to several intercompany transactions, including intercompany charges and employee placement. “The merge will cancel duplicated activities and additional administrative processes,” Pribadi further reasoned. (LK/ZH)
