ALDO eyes 40% growth in 2022 net profit

JAKARTA – PT Alkindo Naratama Tbk (ALDO) optimistically targets sales growth of 30% and net profit of 40% in 2022. ALDO sees an increasing opportunities in the environmentally friendly packaging business, so that hopefully through the innovations, it can help boosting the growth of ALDO’s performance. 

H. Sutanto as President Director of ALDO, said, “We continue to strive to deliver the best performance, especially with the brighter prospect of the environmentally friendly packaging business. ALDO continues to innovate on a sustainable business to make quality eco-friendly products. For instance, our latest products are paper bags as shopping bags and paper boxes for containers for food, medicine, cosmetics, and so on. ALDO also recently launched Hexa Wrap, Indonesia’s first sustainable product innovation. Hexa Wrap can reduce plastic waste in the e-commerce industry as a substitute for plastic bubbles (bubble wrap) made of recycled paper in the form of a honeycomb structure.”

For information, after delivering good performance, ALDO decided to distribute dividends of Rp2.08 billion, which was taken from net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity in 2021 of Rp75.9 billion. This decision was obtained during ALDO Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) which was held on June 9, 2022. This dividend distribution is ALDO’s effort to appreciate the shareholders for the trust they have given to the Company so far.

 In the First Quarter of 2022, ALDO also recorded revenue of Rp407.3 billion, an increase of 19.6% YoY. In the First Quarter of 2022, ALDO’s paper sub-group business also saw a collective growth of 17.6% YoY, while the chemical sub-group business grew by 23.1% YoY. (LM)
