JAKARTA – PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA) evaluates the feasibility study of the Royal Kedhaton Apartment project in Yogyakarta, following the bribe allegation made on Haryadi Suyuti, ex-Mayor of Yogyakarta.

Jemmy Kusnadi, Corporate Secretary of Summarecon Agung, announced that the construction of the Royal Kedhaton Apartment is still at the planning phase. “The company is committed to respect the ongoing legal process in the Corruption Eradication Commission (lit. di Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi/KPK) and is willing to cooperate so that the legal process can soon be concluded,” he said in the information disclosure quoted Friday (10/60.

According to Kusnadi, the evaluation of the project is decided after the sting operation that resulted in the arrest of Oon Nusihono, SMRA’s employee, by KPK last week (2/6). Nusihono is caught being involved in the Haryadi’s bribe allegation in regard to the procurement of the building permit of said apartment.

Additionally, KPK confiscated cash of IDR 41 million during the search in the SMRA offive in East Jakarta earlier this week (6/6). This apartment is initially meant to be erected over land of PT Java Orient Properti (JOP), a subsidiary of SMRA, in Yogyakarta. (LK/ZH)
