JAKARTA. Until the end of the first the quarter in 2022, PT Link Net Tbk (LINK) has realised IDR 768 billion of its capital expenditure (CapEx) budget this year that totals to IDR 3.07 trillion.

“In Q1 2022, the total houses that we’ve passed in a home-pass service reached 9.3 million units. In total, we have covered 27 cities,” Santiwati Basuki, Deputy Chief Marketing Officer of Link Net, revealed, as quoted by Kontan. In Q1 2022, Link Net reportedly expanded to four additional cities, including Sukabumi, Purwokerto, Subang, and Sumedang, bringing the total coverage to 27 cities in Indonesia, just as stated.

For the record, all of the capex budget is set to be used on three main focuses of LINK. First is to increase the frequency of home-pass service and establish its footprint across different cities. The second is to fund the regular network maintenance, which becomes the primary operational goal of the company in order to keep the customers assured of its service.

The third focus is to fund the migration of cables and poles that belong to the State Electricity Company (lit. Perusahaan Listrik Negara/PLN) to the ones belong to LINK, as Basuki believes it is necessary to sustain infrastructure independence. (AM/ZH)
