JAKARTA – PT Kabelindo Murni Tbk (KLBM) sets the target of sales and net profit to IDR 1.82 trillion and IDR 72.4 billion this year. Intan Eka Dewi, Corporate Secretary of Kabelindo Murni, announced these objectives in the public expose quoted today (14/6).
According to Dewi, said target will be attained by focusing on cable sales to State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and private corporates. Through the distributor of the company, sales in private sector projects contributed 80% to the revenue in Q1 2022, amounting to IDR 380 billion.
“Sales in the private sector in Q1 2022 rose significantly from the same period in 2021 of IDR 272 billion,” Dewi mentioned.
Furthermore, KLBM will increase efficiency in purchasing raw materials and designing the selling price readjustment strategy. In 2021, the price surge in coppers and aluminium was not followed with decent selling price. Therefore, it resulted in negative performance in the company’s gross profit. “The adjustment of selling price earlier this year has led to a net profit of IDR 9.5 billion, increasing from Q1 2021 losses of IDR 6.5 billion,” Dewi added.
