15 June 2022 06:04

JAKARTA – The Office of  Attorney General is reportedly in the process of conducting a full investigation over five infrastructure projects handled by PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (WSBP) from 2016 to 2020. This process is a step up from the preliminary investigation stage, also conducted by Attorney General’s Office.

In the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (15/6), Fandy Dewanto, Corporate Secretary of Waskita Beton Precast, claimed that his company has implemented good corporate governance (GCG) and risk management even more firmly than before following this status upgrade. “[We] fully support the law enforcement act as a part of the corporate governance improvement process,” he said.

In addition, the WSBP management will provide counsels for WSBP’s personnels and remain cooperative in supplying information and data needed by the authority to carry out the investigation.

Attorney General’s Office had investigated five WSBP’s projects earlier on May 17, 2022, including the Krian-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar Tollway project, the tetrapod supply for Semut Tama Langgeng Pte Ltd, the material supply from PT Misi Mulia Metrical (MMM) and PT Mitra Usaha Rakyat (MUR), and the acquisition of Bojonegara Plant in Banten.
