JAKARTA. PT OBM Drilchem Tbk (OBMD), a manufacturer of additives for drilling activities, has managed to secure several contracts with local and international companies worth as much as IDR 96 billion.

Ivan Alamsyah, Vice President Director of OBMD, claimed that so far in 2022, this company has obtained new contracts with Elnusa, COSL Indonesia, and ONGC India. Currently, OBMD is processing the final stages of new contracts with several major and renowned oil companies.

“The total contract value reached USD 7 million, equivalent to IDR 96 billion,” Alamsyah added in the press release yesterday (14/6). The attainment of these new contracts is an implementation of the company’s strategies set earlier this year, which aims to extend its collaborative hand to other distributors outside the country and conduct several laboratory tests.

This year, OBMD also allocated IDR 3.8 billion to its capital expenditure budget, which will be spent on acquiring a warehouse in Balikpapan and purchasing spare parts for the machineries. The company currently records a decent level of liquidity, allowing itself to fund the capex from its operating profit. (AM/ZH)
