JAKARTA – The voting result of the suspension of debt payment obligation (lit. Penundaan Kewajiban Pembayaran Utang/PKPU) regarding piling debts of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) will be out today (17/6). Irfan Setiaputra, President Director of Garuda Indonesia, confirmed it in the information disclosure quoted Friday (17/6).
Setiaputra explained that said voting result should have been announced on June 15, 2022. However, the company asks for extra two days. The public announcement of the PKPU voting result will be disclosed next week on June 20, 2022. “During the PKPU process, the company put out its best effort in intensively communicating with creditors, including lessors, until we finally can finalise out Fixed Receivable List,” he claimed.
According to Setiaputra, GIAA has been receiving positive signals from creditors throughout the restructuring process. He wishes that it will bear beneficial results for all interested parties. The PKPU stages were reportedly carried out positively and constructively, thanks to the stakeholders of GIAA that work together for the good of Garuda’s business ecosystem.
“We hope this commitment is well-maintained and well-optimised nearing the PKPU voting result,” Setiaputra added. (LK/ZH)
