Branching out to gas mining, Batulicin to form a JV

JAKARTA – PT Batulicin Nusantara Maritim Tbk (BESS) establishes a joint venture, PT ESGE, which will be involved in the gas mining industry. This initiative is meant to advance the business expansion plan in order to collect higher revenue in the future.

Yuliana, Director of BESS, revealed that BESS has a claim over 7,700 shares of ESGE worth IDR 7.70 billion in total, while PT Ecube Project Management (EPM) owns the remaining 3,300 units. “The company is listed as the ultimate shareholder of ESGE,” she mentioned in the information disclosure quoted Monday (20/6).

According to Yuliana, EPM, its partner in ESGE formation, is not affiliated with BESS or any of the directors and commissioners of the company. For the record, the contract signing over this joint venture establishment took place last week (17/6).

Until March 2022, BESS reported total equity of IDR 452.39 billion, shifting from IDR 431.19 billion recoded in the same period in 2021. Its total assets and liabilities reportedly reached IDR 723.15 billion and IDR 270.75 billion.

Furthermore, in May 2022, the total shares issued by the company had amounted to 3,412,616,036 units. PT Batulicin Enam controls 79% of them, followed by Ifiandiaz Nazir of 6.51%, Rois Sunandar of 0.12%, and the public of 14.37%. (LK/ZH)
