JAKARTA - The global economy has become a great opportunity for Indonesia's exports. Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that the Ministry of Trade is preparing to hold the 37th largest international trade exhibition in Indonesia, 'Trade Expo Indonesia' on 19-23 October 2022 in a hybrid manner at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang. This time TEI carries the theme “Strengthening the Global Trade for Stronger Recovery.

This event will be held on a hybrid basis (offline and online) after previously being held online for two consecutive years. The TEI which is held online will last longer, i.e. 19 October – 19 December 2022.

“Trade Expo Indonesia, which was held this year, is an excellent opportunity for Indonesian businesses to introduce and market their products to the global market. Moreover, currently there have been a lot of easing related to the Covid-19 pandemic and economic activity around the world has begun to squirm. We hope that Indonesian business actors can participate in restoring global trade and that more Indonesian products will be re-exported," said Trade Minister Zulhas.

TEI 2022 offline will occupy seven ICE BSD exhibition halls. TEI 2022 is expected to repeat last year's success, especially as it is held on a hybrid basis. In 2021, TEI, which was held online, managed to bring in 834 exhibitors, more than 32 thousand visitors, and recorded transactions of USD 6 billion. (LM)
