JAKARTA - PT Cita Mineral Investindo Tbk (CITA), recorded a positive performance this year. Until the first quarter of 2022, CITA posted net sales of IDR 1.2 trillion. This achievement increased by 24.6% compared to CITA's net sales in the same quarter the previous year of Rp 964.6 billion. Meanwhile, profit for the year experienced a correction due to an increase in selling expenses to IDR 127.7 billion compared to the achievement of the same period last year of IDR 165.7 billion.
Yusak Lumba Pardede, Director of CITA said, “The company is optimistic that it can increase its sales market share and profitability, including improving performance this year. This is in line with the completion of the WHW purification facility which is targeted to start production this year. With additional production of up to two million tons per year plus the demand for Aluminum continues to increase."
For information, throughout 2021, the Company managed to sell 8.41 million DMT MGB of which 86.73% or around 7.29 million DMT was export sales while the remaining 1.12 million DMT was sold domestically. Total sales volume increased by 5.79% compared to 2020. This increase contributed to the increase in 2021 sales value by Rp. 233.71 billion to Rp. 4.58 trillion. CITA obtained a processed bauxite export quota or MGB of 4.04 million WMT in March 2021 and 4.3 million WMT in November 2021 for the 2021-2022 period and 1.3 million WMT relaxation quota for the 2021 period.
Previously, CITA also just held an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for the 2021 financial year which was held today in Jakarta. At the AGM, the Company decided to distribute a total dividend of IDR 217.8 billion from the 2021 net profit which was recorded at IDR 568.3 billion. (lLM)
