Allegedly breaching contract, Maju Gemilang Serpong sued WEGE

JAKARTA – PT Maju Gemilang Serpong (MGS) reportedly filed a lawsuit against PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk (WEGE) over a contract breach worth IDR 134.72 billion. Said claim was registered under Case No. 379/Pdt.G/2022/PN Jkt.Tim earlier this week (4/7).

Bobby Iman Setya, Corporate Secretary of WEGE, claimed that the company is yet unable to explain the detailed background of said lawsuit as the official letter regarding MGS’s lawsuit from East Jakarta District Court has yet to arrive. “The company will seek more detailed information so that we can take appropriate action following this lawsuit and mitigate any risks incurred by this lawsuit,” he said in the information disclosure quoted today (8/7).

In the official website of East Jakarta District Court, MGS, through their attorney, Gusti Randa Malik, SH, listed their pleas regarding the contract breach dispute. MGS demands a compensation of material losses of IDR 134.72 billion and immaterial losses of IDR 1 trillion. It must be paid within seven days after the case is concluded in the court.
