Transkon Jaya plans to add 250 pickups to its fleet

JAKARTA – PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA), a 4x4 WD mining vehicle provider, plans to acquire 250 units to be added to its fleet this year. These new units will be utilised to meet the demands from mining companies based in Sulawesi and Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara.

In the public expose quoted Thursday (14/7), Alexander Syauta, Corporate Secretary of Transkon Jaya, said that as of now, his company has 200 units of vehicles in possession in Sulawesi and neighboring areas.

“The target of the company is to secure 100 units of vehicles in Sulawesi until this December 2022. In Sumbawa, in which the majority of the mining is gold, we plan to bring in 150 more units,” Syauta further specified.

TRJA still has IDR 30.96 billion left from the initial public offering (IPO) proceeds to acquire these new vehicles this year.

The company has realised IDR 30.95 billion of the total budget for new vehicle purchases, which is capped at IDR 64.76 billion. Meanwhile, the acquisition of spare parts, tyres, and engine oil had taken up IDR 30.60 billion. For the record, during its IPO on August 27, 2020, TRJA managed to gather IDR 92.52 billion. (LK/ZH)
