JAKARTA. The investors’ interest in Government Sharia Securities (lit. Surat Berharga Syariah Negara/SBSN) or Government Sukuk in last Tuesday’s auction (12/7) was once again shrinking, leading to the poor awarded amount of IDR 6.03 trillion gained by the government, which was way below the supposed indicative target set prior.

In said auction, the incoming bids reportedly only reached IDR 12.75 trillion, which already was lower than the incoming bids on the auction on June 28, 2022, that amounted to IDR 15.78 trillion. On the other hand, the indicative target set by the government for the most recent auction was IDR 7.8 trillion.

The highest bid in the latest sukuk auction was placed in PBS031 series, collecting total bids of IDR 8 trillion. Then, PBS029 gained bids of IDR 2.33 trillion, followed by PBS032 of IDR 1.24 trillion, PBS033 of IDR 516 billion, PBS034 of IDR 515 billion, and SPN-S of IDR 150 billion.

Furthermore, the incoming bids in yesterday’s sukuk auction also arrived lower than the average of bids this year, which clocks up to IDR 23.25 trillion. Moreover, the average awarded amount this year also reaches IDR 7.2 trillion. (KR/ZH)
