JAKARTA. The total incoming bids for the auction of six series of Government Securities (lit. Surat Utang Negara/SUN) held on July 19, 2022, reached IDR 29.45 trillion, as reported by the Directorate-General of Budget Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) of the Ministry of Finance.

Compared to the previous SUN auction two weeks ago, the incoming bids for the most recent auction in July 19 were 13% higher. In the two weeks old SUN auction, the incoming bids only clocked up to IDR 25.98 trillion.

Furthermore, the bid-to-cover ratio in the July 19 auction also multiplied to 2.38, while the bid-to-cover ratio in another SUN auction two week ago only hit 1.88.

The most sought-after series was FR0091, attracting IDR 15.29 trillion worth of bids. It was also equipped with the highest yield rate in this auction round of 8.05%.

“The total awarded amount accumulated from those seven series offered by the government was IDR 11.87 trillion,” DJPPR revealed said information in the official release.

For the record, said awarded amount was still, unfortunately, below the target of the government. Last week, the government mentioned that the indicative target of the SUN auction on July 19 was set to IDR 15 trillion, capped at IDR 22.5 trillion. (KR/ZH)
