JAKARTA – PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMFI) still suffered a loss at the end of 2021 due to its shrinking revenue despite the efficiency measures on operating expenses.

In the financial report as of December 2021 quoted today (22/7), Andi Fahrurrozi, President Director of Garuda Maintenance Facility, confirmed that the revenue was depleted to USD 210.59 million from USD 253.84 million in December 2020. The operating loss and the current year’s loss arrived at USD 94.49 million and USD 127.35 million, improving from USD 311.34 million and USD 328.76 million recorded in December 2020.

The revenue was an accumulation of the reparation and overhaul service of USD 145.69 million, maintenance service of USD 47.81 million, and other services of USD 17.07 million. For comparison, the reparation and overhaul services clocked up to USD 175.15 million in December 2020, followed by the maintenance service of USD 52.61 million and other services of USD 26.07 million.

The users who contributed over 10% of the total revenue were Garuda Airline of USD 76.56 million and Citilink Airline of USD 52.59 million. The poor revenue performance was a result of the flight restriction due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. (LK/ZH)
