JAKARTA. PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or PLN has initiated the collaboration with Volta, the joint venture established by PT M Cash Integrasi Tbk (MCAS) and PT NFC Indonesia Tbk (NFCX), in order to integrate the electric vehicle (EV) battery swap stations.
Said partnership includes the formation of Electric Vehicle Digital Services (EVDS), a new EV service platform by PLN. With the activation of this platform, PLN wishes to enhance its customer experience by digitalising the customer service system for existing and potential EV owners.
EVDS was launched last Sunday (24/7) in Bali. The launching coincided with the PLN E-Mobility electric vehicles exhibition.
Darmawan Prasodjo, President Director of PLN, stated that PLN has designed EVDS to be a one-stop solution for those who are interested in taking up electric vehicles. “The people has gained more access to electricity services, especially for their electric vehicles,” he added.
Prasodjo also admitted that the electric vehicle ecosystem development calls for collaboration of many parties. “Through EVDS, PLN gears up to be the pioneer and accelerator in establishing the electric vehicle ecosystem,” he mentioned further. (KR/ZH)
